Operating qualification

Do you know the qualifications for operating a forklift?

For forklift operation, the operator must have a person who has completed the driving skill training and special training required by the Industrial Safety and Health Act.

Forklifts used as cargo carriers seem to be often mistakenly thought to be small special-purpose vehicles with a small maximum load, which can be driven with a normal driver's license. In addition, since most of the work is done in factories and warehouses, there are supposedly cases where unqualified persons are made to drive forklifts, thinking that no one will know.

Every year, industrial accidents occur due to errors in forklift operation and lack of safety knowledge, and there are also accidents caused by unqualified personnel. Forklifts are convenient cargo carriers that increase work efficiency, but should not be handled carelessly.

Special training for forklift operation

A certificate of completion of special training for forklift operation is required to operate forklifts with a maximum load of less than 1,000 kg. (Article 61 of the Industrial Safety and Health Act, Article 20 (xi) of the Enforcement Order)

Forklift operation skills training

A certificate of completion of forklift operation skill training is required to operate forklifts with a maximum load of 1,000 kg or more. (Article 59 of the Industrial Safety and Health Act and Article 36 (v) of the Industrial Safety and Health Regulations)
IMPORTANT: Persons under 18 years of age (minors) are prohibited from operating forklifts or low lifts. (Article 62-1 of the Labor Standards Act, Article 8-7 of the Regulations on Labor Standards for Minors)

Safety seminars

We hold safety seminars to ensure safe forklift operation. Please inquire as we also provide DVDs and other materials to assist with in-house safety training.

Safety seminars

In recent years, forklifts have become remarkably popular as a result of labor-saving cargo and transport operations. In addition, forklifts are used in a wide variety of locations, helping to improve the efficiency of transport operations. At the same time, however, the structural characteristics of forklifts pose danger, and accidents caused by operator misuse are on the rise.

Seminar contents

(1) Forklift accidents data (2) Safe driving tips (video) (3) Overloading and vehicle stability (4) Inspections at the start of work (5) Related laws and regulations

Seminar duration

1 to 2 hours (Training content and time will be determined based on customer needs)
